Who We Are
Tartan Builders Inc. is a roofing and exterior contractor operating in Ohio, with offices in Dublin and Wadsworth. In this policy, "we", "us" and "our" mean Tartan Builders Inc.
You can reach us at (877) 521-7171 or through the contact form on this site.
Information You Give Us
When you submit an inspection request, quote form or contact form, we collect what you type into it. That typically means:
- Your name
- Your phone number
- Your property address and ZIP code
- The service you are asking about
- Your email address, where a form asks for it
- Anything else you choose to write in a message field
Information We Collect Automatically
Like most websites, ours records some technical information when you visit. This includes your IP address, browser type and version, device type, the pages you view, how long you stay, and the site or advert that sent you here.
We use cookies and similar technologies for this. Some are necessary for the site to function; others support analytics and advertising, described below.
Information From Other Sources
If you file a storm damage insurance claim and ask us to assist, we may receive information from your insurance carrier or their adjuster relating to that claim — including scope of loss documents, estimates and payment details.
We may also receive information from advertising platforms about how you interacted with an advert before contacting us.
How We Use Your Information
- To schedule and carry out inspections, estimates and work at your property
- To contact you about your enquiry by phone, text or email
- To document damage and manage an insurance claim on your behalf where you have asked us to
- To prepare estimates, invoices and warranty records
- To improve the website and understand which pages and adverts are useful
- To meet legal, tax, insurance and licensing obligations
Calls, Texts and Consent
When you give us your phone number through a form or over the phone, you are agreeing that we may contact you about your enquiry — including by phone call and text message. Message and data rates may apply.
Consent to receive marketing texts is not a condition of purchasing anything from us. You can opt out of texts at any time by replying STOP, and out of calls by telling us during any call or by contacting us directly.
Calls may be recorded or monitored for quality and training purposes. Where recording occurs you will be notified at the start of the call.
Cookies, Analytics and Advertising
We use analytics tools to understand how the site is used, and advertising tools to measure whether our adverts work. These may set cookies or similar identifiers in your browser and may allow the platforms concerned to recognize your device across sites.
You can control cookies through your browser settings, and most advertising platforms offer their own opt-out controls. Blocking some cookies may affect how parts of the site work.
How Long We Keep It
We keep enquiry and customer records for as long as needed to provide the service, honor warranties, resolve disputes and satisfy legal, tax and insurance requirements.
Warranty and job records are generally kept for the life of the warranty, because a claim years later depends on them existing.
Your Choices and Rights
You can ask us to tell you what personal information we hold about you, correct anything inaccurate, or delete information we no longer need to keep. You can also ask us to stop contacting you for marketing purposes.
To make a request, call (877) 521-7171 or use the contact form. We may need to verify your identity before acting.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional statutory rights. If you are a resident of a state with a comprehensive privacy law, contact us and we will handle your request in line with that law.
Security
We take reasonable measures to protect the information we hold. No website or system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we work to limit access to those who need it and to keep our systems current.
Children
This site is intended for adults arranging work on property they own or manage. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Third-Party Links
Our site links to third-party sites, including GAF for warranty registration and our social media profiles. Those sites have their own privacy policies and we are not responsible for their practices.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy as our practices or the law change. The date at the top shows when it was last revised. Continuing to use the site after an update means you accept the revised policy.
